Between tamps, your tamper and puck screen usually end up flat on the bench, collecting grounds and sliding around. A tamping station gives each one a place to stand.
This walnut station has two matching cups in a figure-8. One cup cradles a flat-based tamper upright, base down and handle standing. The other holds a dosing ring or a spare tamper. Three routed slots in the centre divider each hold a puck screen on edge, vertical and easy to reach.
The cups suit flat-based 51, 53 and 58mm tampers.
