A magnetic dosing funnel sits on the outside rim of your portafilter basket. It widens the catch area as you dose. Grounds from the grinder chute land inside the ring instead of scattering across the bench.
Four embedded magnets hold it to the rim, so it stays seated while you fill. Lift one edge to skim the excess level with the basket, then take it off before you tamp. The result is a flatter, cleaner fill to the edge of the basket.

FAQs
What are Grao Brewing tools made from?
Stainless steel, anodised aluminium, hardwood and silicone, depending on the tool. Each product page lists its exact materials.
Which size fits my machine?
54mm fits Breville Bambino, Barista Express, Pro and Touch. 51mm fits DeLonghi Dedica and most home models. 58mm fits Rancilio, Gaggia and most commercial-style portafilters, and many other machines and brands. The diameter is printed on your basket, or email us and we'll confirm.
How do I care for my tools?
Rinse stainless and aluminium parts after use and dry before storing. Hand-dry wooden handles rather than leaving them wet.
Can I put them in the dishwasher?
We recommend rinsing by hand, it takes seconds and keeps wooden handles and finishes in shape.
Is this a good gift for a home barista?
Yes, puck-prep tools are the upgrade most home baristas don't think to buy for themselves.
Will my order come with tracking?
Yes, we'll email you tracking as soon as your order is on its way.
What's your returns policy?
You've got 30 days to return your order, and return shipping costs are simply deducted from your refund. Read the full policy here.
Good quality, sticks to my bottomless portafilter with no problem (keep in mind that it doesn't stick to the original delonghi one, it's made of a non magnetic alloy).

Perfect fit. magnets and strong enough without being too strong, so it's easy to remove too.
The magnetic force of the magnet is a bit weak, but it's not enough to affect its functionality, so it's okay. Dosing has become much more convenient.
Quick delivery, magnets are okay. Wish the sides were alittle taller. Coffee grounds do spill over when trying to wdt since sides are shorter
Well made and the magnetic ring attaches perfectly to the breville 54mm portafilter basket.
Fits. Magnets are quite weak but can tamp through so excellent for the price
Perfect fit to the breville bambino 54mm portafilter but the magnets don't stick. It is still usable for the low cost
Amazing! The ring is of excellent quality and perfectly sized, suitable for most baskets (including IMS, VST, DEX, etc.)!
Allows you to use the temper without removing the rings.
Very good.
perfect
Magnet is just okay. But for the price really can’t complain.

Works well. Happy with it.
Good product with a nice finish. This sits properly on my 58mm filters and does not have the "skirt" issues the 54mm one i bought did, so it does not sit too high due to the filter ears. I've tested on a breville and a gaggia portafilter and it works fine with both.
It's slightly larger than the basket so there is some side to side play but the magnets are strong enough to keep it centered and it does a perfect job of keeping grinds in the basket when using a wdt tool.
