Product Details
A calibrated tamper puts a spring in the collar between the handle and the base. Press down, and the spring gives at the same point each time, so the puck sees the same pressure on every shot. A numbered ring lets you set that pressure and repeat it shot to shot.
The handle is walnut. The base that meets the coffee is mirror-polished SUS304 stainless steel, with a matte aluminium body in between. The spring also self-levels, keeping the base flat as you press, which reduces the tilt that starts channelling at the edge of the puck.
Pick a flat base for a smooth face or a grooved base for a textured one. Both come in three basket diameters.
